HEROES FOR HIRE
With the May 2011 release of their second album, Take One For The Team, Sydney pop punkers Heroes For Hire have made good on their promise to take over the airwaves.
Forever on tour in their trusty van, be it festivals with Paramore and Parkway Drive, arena tours with Short Stack and Boys Like Girls or sweaty clubs with Fireworks and The Wonder Years, the release of Take One For The Team has been spearheaded by lead single “All Messed Up,” a track which has now become a commercial radio staple throughout Australia, with the accompanying video receiving play from Channel V and Video Hits.
Take One For The Team’s second single, the anthemic “Secrets, Lies And Sins” impacted commercial radio just as strongly, with the accompanying video becoming the single most requested clip on Channel V for the 2 months following its release, with an additional track, “East Coast Blazin’,” slotting in at the #2 spot on Australia’s most popular video network!
Take One For The Team was recorded in Baltimore, USA with esteemed producer Paul Leavitt ? who had previously worked with All Time Low, Senses Fail and many more – with the album picking up rave reviews from all corners of the Australian media.
“With Patrick Stump focusing on a solo career, we’ve all been hopelessly trying to fill the void that Fall Out Boy left in our collections. Enter Heroes For Hire...” Emily Swanson – Blunt Magazine
“Songs full of hooks that will leave you humming hours later... one of the best pop punk releases in a long time.” Stu Harvey ? Triple J
2011 saw Heroes For Hire join iconic San Diego pop-punks on their stint around the country, undertake the main support slot on Short Stack’s sold-out arena tour and finish up with a successful headlining jaunt in October and November, with one of America’s most promising young acts, I Call Fives, in tow.
Heroes For Hire will be kicking off 2012 with a bang, hitting the road alongside Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, A Day To Remember, Cobra Starship and many more on the gargantuan Soundwave Festival.
Keep an eye on this space, as a new single, video and tour announcement aren’t far away!
